How Padmavati Jewellers handles names, phones, emails, PAN, and invoice records — online and at the counter.

Effective · 6 August 2026 · Padmavati Jewellers

Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Padmavati Jewellers (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit padmavati-jewellers.com, enquire about jewellery, visit our counter in Uttan, Mira Bhayandar, or receive an invoice from us.

We operate a jewellery counter. We do not run an online checkout that takes card payments on this website. Most sales happen in person.

What we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may process:

  • Identity and contact details — name, phone, email, and (where required for tax invoices) PAN.
  • Purchase and invoice data — items, weights, rates, taxes, payments, and balance due.
  • Enquiry messages — WhatsApp or other messages you send about a piece.
  • Technical data — basic browser and device information needed to run the site securely.
  • Public reviews — if you leave a review on Google or similar platforms that we display.

How we use your information

We use personal information only for legitimate jewellery-shop purposes:

  • Preparing tax invoices, GST compliance, and payment records.
  • Sending invoice PDFs or order updates by email or WhatsApp when you ask us to.
  • Answering product enquiries and arranging visits or custom work.
  • Improving the website, preventing abuse, and keeping systems secure.
  • Meeting legal obligations under Indian tax and consumer laws.

Who we share with

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:

  • Service providers who host email, media (for example Cloudinary), or our website infrastructure — only as needed to operate those services.
  • Government authorities when the law requires (for example GST, income tax, or lawful requests).
  • Professional advisors (CA, lawyer) under confidentiality when needed for compliance or disputes.

How long we keep it

Invoice and customer records are kept for as long as tax, accounting, and warranty or exchange needs require — typically several years under Indian commercial practice.

Enquiry messages that do not become a sale may be deleted earlier when no longer needed.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls on our admin systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please treat invoice emails and WhatsApp threads carefully on your own devices.

Your choices

You may ask us to correct contact details on your customer record, or to explain what invoice data we hold about you, by contacting the store.

Some information (for example GST invoice fields or PAN collected for a high-value bill) must be retained for legal compliance and cannot be erased on request while those obligations apply.

You can stop marketing-style messages at any time. Transactional invoice messages are sent only when you (or the counter) request them for a sale.

Children

Our website and counter services are aimed at adults purchasing jewellery. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for online accounts.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our practices or the law change. The effective date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the website after an update means you have read the revised policy.
