Counter policy

Sale, exchange & buyback

Weight and hallmark on the bill. No open cash returns. Exchange or buyback — contact the shop with your invoice.

Effective · 9 August 2026 · Padmavati Jewellers

Scope

This policy applies to jewellery purchased from Padmavati Jewellers at our counter in Uttan, Mira Bhayandar. Your tax invoice is the primary record of the sale — keep it safe.

Purity, hallmark, and weight

Wherever applicable, gold jewellery is sold with BIS hallmarking and declared purity. Net weight (and any deductions noted on the bill) is what we price. Making charges, GST, and other line items are shown on the invoice — ask at the counter before you pay if anything is unclear.

Rates and advances

Metal rates change. A rate is locked only when we issue a tax invoice (or a written booking that expressly locks a rate). Advances for custom work are applied to the final bill; cancellation after craft has started may forfeit part of the advance — we will say so when you book.

No open returns

We do not offer a general “change of mind” cash refund after a completed sale, except where Indian law requires otherwise for a proven manufacturing defect attributable to us.

Exchange and buyback

Exchange and buyback are handled at the counter only. Bring the piece and the original Padmavati Jewellers invoice. Credit depends on inspection, purity, weight, and the day’s rates — we will quote you in person.

Contact the shop for the current exchange or buyback terms. We do not publish fixed percentages online, because metal markets and piece condition vary.

Custom orders

Custom jewellery generally cannot be returned or exchanged except for a proven manufacturing defect.

Talk to us

Most questions are settled by weighing the piece and reading the invoice together at the counter. Call or visit us — we would rather explain than argue on paper.
